For parents of young children

A logbook for the hard moments.

Thirty seconds at a time, until a pattern shows up. Parent Coach records what actually happened between you and your child — then shows you what those moments have in common, and coaches the half of it you can change.

No scores. No diagnosis. Nothing about your parenting unless you ask for it.

Most parenting advice arrives as a rule. Be consistent. Stay calm. Hold the boundary.

The rules are usually right, and almost never useful in the moment — because they know nothing about your Tuesday at 5:40pm. Parent Coach takes the other route. It starts from your evenings, not from a principle, and works out what they have in common.

How it works

Three things happen, in this order, every time.

01

Log the moment while it is still true

Five taps or a sentence in your own words: what was going on, what your child did, what you did next, and how you were feeling. It takes about thirty seconds, which is the only length that survives a real evening.

02

Get one warm sentence back — and nothing else

The moment is recorded and reflected back to you. A suggestion, the research behind it, and anything about your own behaviour all sit behind a tap you choose to take. Nothing escalates because you had a bad week.

03

Watch the pattern arrive on its own

Because every note is recorded the same way, they add up to what one note never could show: when the hard moments cluster, what tends to set them off, and what your child is most likely getting out of them.

What is actually in it

A hard moment, right now

Rough evening? The app takes you somewhere quiet first — a breath, a moment to land — and only then asks what happened. Advice waits until you are ready for it.

🌤

Good moments count too

The good ones are logged with the same care as the hard ones. A logbook of only disasters teaches you that your parenting is a disaster.

💬

A coach that has read your log

Ask it anything and it answers from your own recorded moments, with the arithmetic done in code rather than guessed at. It says logged, never happened.

📚

Suggestions with papers behind them

Every move it offers comes from a card built on named, verified studies — with who they were tested with, and what they do not show, attached to the move itself.

🗓

A weekly review

Once a week, the themes worth a second look — surfaced, not scored. You accept, dismiss or park each one.

🎚

A coach that sounds how you want

Warmer or more direct, shorter or fuller. The coaching voice is yours to set, because being talked to the wrong way is its own reason to stop.

The coach

It has read your log, and it says so.

The coach's subject is your saved moments. The counting is done in code and handed to it as facts to quote, so it cannot round a bad week into an encouraging one. Every line says logged, never happened — a busy week where you wrote nothing down looks exactly like a calm one, and the app refuses to pretend otherwise.

Every reply is checked before it reaches you. An invented study, a diagnosis, a line that blames you — each is caught and the reply is withheld rather than softened.

The promise

You choose how deep this goes. Always.

A parent reads this app having just had a hard time, often at the end of a long day. Anything that arrives unasked and tells them what to do lands as blame, however carefully it is worded — and a parent who feels judged stops logging, which ends the coaching entirely. So depth is requested, never imposed.

  1. Rung 0

    Arrives on its own

Your moment is recorded, and one warm sentence comes back. This is the only thing the app ever gives you unasked.

  2. Rung 1

    You tap once

One thing you could try — offered, never instructed — with what tends to backfire and the honest limits alongside it, not underneath it.

  3. Rung 2

    You tap again

The studies themselves, who they were tested with, and what they do not show.

  4. Rung 3

    You go there

Coach chat, the weekly review, the patterns over time — the deep end, reached on purpose.

Offer, never instruct

“Something you could try”, not “try this”. You decide; the app supplies what is known.

Never auto-escalate

No screen raises its own intensity because you logged more, logged worse, or ignored the last one.

Limits travel with the claim

An honest limit opens with the suggestion it qualifies — never one tap deeper than it.

The research

Built on four established tools, borrowed rather than invented.

Nothing here is a proprietary framework with a new name on it. Each of these is a clinical instrument with its own literature, used the way its authors intended — and where this app stops short of what a clinician can do, it says so on the screen rather than in the small print.

ABC observation

Every log is a short chain: what happened just before, what your child did, and what you did next.

The four functions

Behaviour usually does one of four jobs — escaping something, getting a person, getting a thing, or feeling good.

PCIT PRIDE skills

Five ways of responding, from a well-established parent-coaching programme, that put your attention on what you want more of.

A slow measure

A short, standard questionnaire every few months, so you can see the season and not just the week.

Every idea explained from scratch, with its primary sources. No background needed.

Straight answers

Does it diagnose my child?

No, and it is built so that it cannot. It does not score, rank or label your child. Where it suggests why a behaviour might be happening, it says so as a leaning drawn from your own notes — confirming one takes a functional analysis run by a qualified clinician, and the app says that on the screen where it appears.

What does it actually coach, then?

Your half of the exchange. Your response is the part you can change, and changing it is what changes the pattern. That is also the part easiest to hear as an accusation, so anything about your own behaviour sits behind an explicit invitation to look at it.

How much do I have to write?

As little as five taps. There is a chip-by-chip wizard and a free-text box, and they ask for the same things — so you can tap it out at a red light or type a paragraph after bedtime, whichever the evening allows.

Where does the advice come from?

A library of cards built on Crossref-verified papers. Anything a model writes for you is checked before you see it — for overclaiming, for blame, for invented citations — and a check that fails falls back to wording that was written by a human, never to a best guess.

Is anything ever urgent enough to interrupt the gentleness?

Yes. Being gentle never means being vague about a risk. Where something could hurt a child, it is said plainly, first, and never behind a tap.

Is this a medical product?

No. It is a logbook and a coach, not a clinician. If you are worried about your child's safety, development or wellbeing, talk to your pediatrician.

Want a look inside the real thing?

The app itself is not open to the public — it holds real notes about real children, so it opens only on a personal link. This page is the whole tour; if you would like a walkthrough of the working product, message me on LinkedIn and I'll send you one.
